Remember the socks Billy rejected? They’re mine now, finished in my size. Just one complication: I can’t try them on for you because it’s just a bit too hard to put on my own socks these days. Thumper agreed to model them for you instead.
The yarn is Lorna’s Laces Baltic Sea. No pattern to speak of. Plain ole ribbed socks. I’m sure I’ll enjoy them quite a bit once I can see my feet again.

Wow! the baby’s almost here! I’m so excited. Um hi I’m enjay, I’ve been reading your blog for a while now, but I don’t think I’ve commented before, my bad. If I may, I’d suggest getting some meals in the freezer now for those days later when you just don’t have time or energy to cook. Have a good weekend, I’ll go back to lurking now.

Awww, Thumper is so cute (and accomodating).

Oh wow. That kid is not going to be small…
(Halloooo, future sock wearer…)

It’s so crazy to think you’ve got a baby in there! Does it just seem normal to you now? So cool!

Yay!! Almost time to Domino!! heh Okay, don’t kick those sock offa there little Thumper. It’s so amazing how one second you’re pregnant and it’s all there is in the world you’ve been thinking about and feeling and then suddenly… *poof* – the minute after the baby is born you can’t remember what it was like to be pregnant – and you say to your husband “let’s do that again!”. heh

I’d say Thumper is running out of room in there! Here’s hoping he joins the outside world very soon.

His loss…your gain. I love the colorway. They look nice on Thumper too.

Congrats on your little one. He’s almost here! Keep up with that birthing ball. I don’t have a baby but am in nursing school and some of my patients swear by the ball.
Great socks too by the way

I’m sure your feet will be happy to see you again, too.

Lovely socks. I continue to enjoy reading your posts. BTW, I started reading The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle after you mentioned it in one of your posts – sooo good! (Funny, I have Kafka on the Shore on my shelves but didn’t get to reading Wind-Up until you mentioned it. Thanks!)

whoa, dude! Thumper’s lookin’ like a big healthy guy these days! The colorway of the socks is really beautiful!
Hope you are feeling fine and looking forward to little man’s arrival!
take care! -p.

Great belly and socks! Is that a wee bottom poking out on your right side?! I had my daughter 10 years ago on June 20 (June 17 was my due date). So reading/seeing where you are with your pregnancy at any given time has taken me back to my pregnancy. Thanks for that 🙂

PS Gemini babies are very talkative. Have fun, it’s a riot!

Thumper, a model who looks like he could pull off any sort of knitted object right now, is doing a fabulous job with those socks!
I had a birthing ball (I’ve never birthed before and am not pregnant but the name stuck once I’d done my ob rotation) but now it has some sort of a leak and only stays inflated for a short while before I slowly sink to the floor. The women I saw using it in labor loved it and often refused to get off of it. (there were two styles available and the barbell type one was very very very popular)

Ooooh, I think those socks are fantastic. I don’t normally like that shade of blue, but with the grey and green they look like great jeans socks.
I had to pause at whoever said it’s so crazy to think there’s a baby in there. I know what she meant, but jesus, I HOPE that’s a baby in there.

Hey there Thumper! You treat your momma right, hear?
Its a wool sock sort of week.

Coming out of lurkdom to commiserate. When I was about to give birth to my now 6 month old, I had to ask my husband to clip my toenails for me.
Also, I stopped answering the phone because I was so sick of those “still no baby?” calls.
I’m sure you already know this but it will all be worth it in the end.
Good luck!
