  2. hi cari,

thanks for the link. i delivered my son a week ago yesterday (he was late after all but as the ob said, you can’t rush perfection). i was anxious for my tummy to shrink back down but after looking at that site, perhaps i’ll take some pictures of my squishy sponge of a jelly belly and document my progress with pride.

btw, as my due date was reached and breached i figured the best way to bring on labor was to cast on a baby sweater. i remembered your yoda pattern and set to work figuring i’d only get half way done before the kid arrived. it was fool proof. before i knew it, i was on the sleeves. then seaming. i put it down late on saturday night, too tired to finish. sunday morning i sat down with a coffee and the i-cords; within hours of finishing the sweater, my contractions started. the sweater is adorable and i can’t wait for the cooler weather. so thanks!

  8. Fab link ! Thanks for posting it.
Isn’t it about time we freed ourselves from the tyrany ? I’m not about to flash my squishy belly with it’s,still obvious, seven year old stripes ! I’m not ashamed of it either. I also feel the need to add that it takes a real man to love a real woman, and her life scars.

  9. Thank you so much for the link! I’ve been beating myself up over how much weight I still carry 6 years after having my daughter. I’ve always had a bad self image, but these 6 years have been the worst. Don’t get me wrong, I love my daughter and do not regret the pregnancy one bit, but I’ve been reluctant to get pregnant again because of the fear of having even more loose flesh. I feel better knowing that I don’t look abnormal and that my husband probably isn’t lying when he tells me he thinks I’m beautiful. You don’t know how much seeing the pictures of real mothers means to me. Thanks again!
