Sorry it’s been so quiet around here. I came through all that editing work to run face-first into a mountain of reading for school. (Note: Do not take a Latin American Lit class that’s going to require heavy reading in Spanish in the same semester as a Proust class. Billy just smiles at me and says, “That’s grad school for ya, baby.” Easy for him to say. He’s already lived through grad school.) It’s a quarter to eleven in the morning as I write this. I have 171 pages left in Amor en los tiempos del colera and it has to be read before my class at 4:30. Think I can do it? There’s a chance, but it’s not going to be pretty.

The good news is that I will indulge in a bit of knitting after class this evening. I haven’t had time to knit much at all in the past two weeks. I’m hoping that will change. Kyoto and Rogue are both languishing. I don’t even want to think about the two Rosedales, or Season, or the socks, or…oy vey.

  1. Billy is correct. I remember Grad school as not to terribly difficult just A WHOLE LOT OF WORK!
    Nursing school is/was another story……

  2. Good luck, Cari! After your class, you should finish Kyoto — it’ll feel so good!

    OK, I admit I’m being a little selfish: I want photos! 🙂

  3. Good luck! I’d love to be able to read Amor en los tiempos… in Spanish.

I’m currently trying to get over my annoyance that school is taking up my knitting time.
