The hounds overheard…
Sadie: What’s all that banging around downstairs?
Diego: Mom and Dad are getting the house ready for the wedding. I think they’re kinda stressed about it.
Sadie: Yeah, humans are funny like that. You think we could help out?
Diego: Well, I ate a slug this morning and then threw it up on the couch to remind Mom about the work she needs to do out in the yard. I think that’s helpful.
Sadie: Good thinking. I brought all my toys out and left them around the living room so the guests will have stuff to play with.
Diego: Did you see the way I got right underfoot when Dad was going down the stairs carrying all that heavy stuff? I think it’s good to remind him to watch his step like that. You know, gravity’s a bitch.
Sadie: There’s nothing wrong with being a bitch.
Diego: Well, you would say that. What else did you do? I think I’m ahead of you in the Little Helper race. That makes me the Good Boy, you know.
Sadie: Hey! I also peed on the bathmat cause Dad forgot to hang it on the side of the tub like Mom likes him to do. And did you see how Mom took the covers off the couch cushions to wash them after you puked? Inside the cushions were covered in all this fleecey hairy stuff and I killed it! Didja see? Hunh? I think you were asleep or something. I jumped on it and I killed it and there was white stuff everywhere… Oh boy…that was a close one. If I’d let that cushion roam free who knows what it might have done.
Diego: Wow…we’ve both worked really hard today to help out. We should probably take another nap.
Sadie: snore, fart, snuffle, snore
Diego and Sadie…you are so thoughtful and considerate.
I’m sure that your Mommy and Daddy appreciate all of your help.
Please remember not to be so heplful when you stay at Grandma’s home.
Your clever, creative, wonderful,Mommy makes me laugh. SO FUNNY!!!!!!!
I love you all.

I know a guy that knows a guy that could “help” those two to some concrete dog booties, if you know what I mean.

Well gee, aren’t they just the cutest little helpers. I think you guys should just turn the entire wedding over to them, sit back, and wait for the Times coverage.
Or maybe the Weekly World News.

Oh dear. Ooooh dear, dear, dear.

I can’t wait to read about their antics at the wedding. I’m sure they’ll be quite helpful there.

My animals are helpful in all those ways, too. My husband and I had a good laugh at the familiarity of the “dog-versation.” Ours are talkers as well….Best of luck with the wedding. Remember, all of the things you think will matter are really not that important in the end!

No, no, I think you got this wrong. You must have overheard MY dog, ZOE, saying, “Hey! I also peed on the bathmat cause Dad forgot to hang it on the side of the tub like Mom likes him to do.”
Must be something about bathmats. (Or is it forgetful men?)
Congrats on the wedding!

My cats are really good at helping with catering -you know, “I think this piece of ham would look better over here”, and “those chicken wings definately need to be chewed before serving to guests”, and “here, let me help you eat that, you seem to be struggling to finish it”. You are very lucky to have such talented decorators and helpers involved in the wedding!

I think our dogs are twins. Except mine do that EVERY day.

It took me a while to see the little Italian Greyhound legs sticking out from underneath the quilt! Heh heh. Thank goodness for little helpers.
Hope all the plans are going welll, and your mom? Crazy! Just the way I like ’em.

Don’t ya love Italian greyhounds? Half the time they’re in a sleep coma and the other half is spent mischief making. Thank heavens they’re so cute.

Ha!!!
*I killed it*.
You just absolutely know that’s what they would say… : )

Ah, pets…aren’t they supposed to DE-stress you? Kind of like when Rooney jumped up on the bed and sat down–then I discovered he’d just had diarrhea in the litter box. Off to the washer I went. Good luck with all the planning! So exciting!

HiCari! Congrats! Obviously, you are really BUSY. I still would like to use one of your beautiful creatures for my book, probably the lighter one, is that Diego? The shoot featuring his sweater is scheduled for mid October, so we have a bit of time. Will this fit into your schedule, or will you be on honeymoon? You don’t have do any knitting unless you want to..xxxStacey

Oh, I have helpers too. Two human, one canine, one feline. They’re always the cutest when they’re trying to look all innocent.

Heh… I can relate! That’s a great explanation of the way pups think! My 3 cats and the puppy do similar things to “help” around the house. 🙂

Oh My. So, so, so funny. I am laughing so hard right now. What sweet little helpers!
