Ugh. I have the plague.

I have the very nastiest of colds. I’ll spare you the list of symptoms. I have a ton of work to do, both editing and for school, but I can’t bring myself to do it. Just the thought of pointing my congested face down toward the page…

What have I been doing instead? Well, my feet have been really cold, so I started knitting a pair of fuzzy feet. This is why we have stash yarn…so you have a source to paw through when you decide you absolutely positively must start knitting slippers with feltable yarn immediately. Pictures later, as I can’t really muster the energy or desire to go for the camera right now. I’ll probably finish the knitting today or tomorrow, then they’ll get felted and my feet will be warm and toasty. That’s the plan, anyway.

I need to get healthy fast. I have another wedding to go to on Saturday. Ugh.

  1. Oh, you poor thing! I hope you heal up quickly and your toes will be cozy in your new fuzzy feet.

  2. Feel better.

Although if you were too sick to knit, then I’d REALLY be concerned.

  3. I started to knit those fuzzy feet when I had pneumonia, and I was just too stooopid to figure the counting out. It was harder than a one and a two, so I gave up. Someday I’ll finish ’em though….

Hope you kick that plague’s ass! I hate the plague.

  4. More we have in common: I just got over a plague-like cold (I swear I didn’t give it to you!) and fuzzy feet are definitely in my “one of these days when I’m cold and need something to knit NOW” list. Have some Unchicken Soup. That reminds me: I have to go shopping and stock up (no pun intended) on some Unchicken so I can give some to Stephanie Harlot to take back to Siberia, I mean Toronto, for the next time SHE has the plague.

  15. aww *big hug* get well soon!

I’m one of those awful people who sidle away looking faintly queasy whenever anyone announces they have a cold. You might as well say “oh and I have a rare and highly contagious breed of head lice that can jump 300 feet, and especially like people called Monica…” you get the picture. So, hey, since you’re an internet buddy, i don’t have to do that, and can say get well soon! And give you a big (sincere – I promise) cyber hug. *grin*
