Thanks for the T-shirts, Gramma!

dogtees.jpg

Yes, my dogs do have sweaters, but how cute are they in these t-shirts? My mother bought them when the kids stayed with her during our honeymoon, good gramma that she is. She even took Diego with her to the store to try them on first. Sadie couldn’t go too because she’s…um…a handful. Ahem. (Nice way of saying little bundle of evil.) Apparently Diego made a bit of a fuss in the store when a salesperson tried a pink shirt on him and she had to assure him that it was for sizing only. I had no idea Diego was so rigid about gender roles. You learn something new about your dogs every day.

There was some strange haze in the air at KnitNY on Friday that made most of the photos I took come out like blackmail shots. Here’s one that did come out, though. Mindy, Iris, and Jenn.

Isn’t Iris’s Klaralund beautiful? Go tell her so. She had a rough morning that day.

Billy and I spent the weekend in DC at my friend Rebecca’s wedding. Rebecca will soon learn to knit, as will her lovely friend Narit (did I spell that wrong? Sorry!). Everybody wave and think encouraging thoughts for the knitters-to-be!

Aren’t we just full of encouragement today? I’m hopped up on coffee and feeling positive. What can I say? Go fondle some yarn. Knit with it, even. You know you want to.

  1. There are my pups! I love them! I miss them! You tell ’em Auntie Rachael said it’s okay to bounce up and down. Because they won’t, you know, unless given permission, right? Right?

  2. Oh, I meant the dogs, not the knitters. Although they’re pretty puppy-cute, too. And hey, if they wanna bounce, have at it, friends.

  3. Dogs in T-shirts! Too cute.

I need more coffee. Sadly, my paper is not writing itself.

  11. Very cute dogs 🙂

I swear we have the same couch. Well…mine is a sectional, and we call it The Big Red Couch. But it is THAT color, except for the top backs of the cushions which have been bleached by the sun, and it really, really looks like the same kind of a fabric – kind of a nice soft cotton duck-y, twill-y type of thing? I LOVE that couch. It’s Ethan Allen – I got it for free from friends who were unloading an apt. in the city and moving full time to their home here. It’s so nice to have relatively wealthy friends sometimes 🙂 I would never have an Ethan Allen couch otherwise. Anyway…the ONLY, only downfall with this couch is that it’s very comfortable, and if you lie on it, you will fall asleep. And in my house, if you fall asleep, you will drool. Drool leaves little white spots on the pillows. Gross. The pillow covers all zip off, however, and wash up really well in the washing machine. How’s about yours?

  12. Hee! Those adorable dogs! They look wonderful in their Ts. Mike Jack and Della used to have NY Giants Ts, and they looked pretty paradoxical being so small, yet having GIANTS emblazoned across their backs 🙂

  13. Cuter than hell! They look so very cozy, but not too hot, for the transitional fall weather. Do I sound like I’m writing a catalog ad?
