The belly at 32 weeks

…and a seriously distorted tattoo. Here you can see what the tattoo used to look like, before Thumper’s renovations. Not just the wings, but the entire dragonfly has stretched out. (I guess I should have expected that.) It’ll be interesting to see how it recovers.

  1. Yowsa! In the home stretch now. No pun intended. But now that I think about it, I kinda like the pun. 🙂

  2. Yikes! Let’s hope it doesn’t end up shrinking back crooked.

  3. Shoot! Why didn’t you get all greased up or painted up like Demi Moore? I bet you won’t even think about the dragonfly once Thumper arrives. You will be too smitten.

  4. Wow – you are all baby, mama!
    And you look incredible!

  5. You look fab. Really. If the tattoo doesn’t go back to normal (which I have no idea about, but I’ll live in hope for your sake), then Thumper will have some ‘splaining to do.

  13. Aww, it’s still cute and looks properly shaped to me. It’ll go back to normal and this stretched dragonfly will soon be but a faint memory. 🙂

  14. Cari, you look good – and the tatoo, however it returns, will be just perfect, too. 🙂

  15. It still looks like a dragonfly, just a bigger wing-spanned one.

There were many other things you could have put there that wouldn’t have fared well in this process at. all.

So happy for a belly pic!

  17. I was wondering when we would get a dragonfly update.

  18. I agree with Claudia, a dragonfly is a great tattoo to have if yer going to stretch it out a bit. The belly looks great!!

  19. OMG, that tatt is awesome. My friend had a Yosemite Sam tattoo that crawled up her belly through pregnancy. He looked like a Bobble Head. Distorted that dragonfly is but it is still looking good.

  36. Have been thinking about this picture of you for a few days! It’s not the home stretch for you, but the DRAGONFLY stretch. Wishing you and easy time in the coming weeks!

  37. I was just looking at the CNN site (4/27)with an article entitled “It’s Hip o Be Pregnant.” So isn’t it nice to know you are hip?

  38. I had a THIRTEEN POUND baby and to me, you look quite petite, LOL. (And I only gained 17 pounds with him). 47 hour labor, natural…I watched Ghandi, read two books, talked on the phone and had about five uncomfortable minutes. When he was two, he dropped a can of beans on my bare foot at the market and that hurt way more than having him. Yeah, I know. Shut up.
    Babies..there’s nothin’ like ’em.
