Attention real-world friends

Did I lend you The Hours and Mrs Dalloway? I know I lent them out as a pair quite some time ago, but I don’t remember to whom, and now of course I need to refer to them for something… Do you have them? Or do you remember who I lent them to? I remember insisting someone read Dalloway first, but now I can’t picture the face I said that to…

  1. I wish I could help by saying where the objects in question are; but I just had to tell you that you aren’t alone. I just took out an ad in the Guild’s newsletter seeking the return of Handwoven Laces by Donna Mueller that I lent out and forgot to write down! It sounded a lot like your post. Good luck!

  3. Hi! *waves furiously* I miss you horribly!!!

It wasn’t me, but I think I have a trade paperback copy of Mrs. Dalloway if you need it.

I’ve been plagued for four weeks (just ridiculous) with the crud too… Lunch when we both get better, OK?

  4. This is obnoxious, but I’ve started a little ‘library file’ on my computer to write down who I lend books to. I feel like a jerk doing it but it really helps. I’ve seen cute little sets that let you turn books into library books, with little cards and stamps and bookplates.

    Hope you find the culprit!

  5. I have no idea what happened to my copy of Mrs. Dalloway either, but I must have lent it to a very good friend, because it’s not a book I want out of sight for very long. I should buy a backup copy. In fact, everyone should have a backup copy of Mrs. Dalloway, just in case something happens to the first.

  6. Hi. I have both in my library if you need them or if you can say what you are looking for in them, I can try to help.

Sorry about your cold. Wonton soup always makes me feel better when I have the crud.
