Today is my 38th birthday. Yesterday, I completed the final run of Couch to 5k. That’s nine weeks, going from huffing and groaning through 60-second running segments to comfortably running for 30 minutes without stopping. It may not seem like much, but it’s a lot to me. I’m much stronger at 38 than I was at 37. I’m proud of myself.
Happy birthday to my heart, lungs, and legs. Thanks for getting me up the big hill three times a week.
I am just so happy for you, I could bust. Happy Birthday, you ROCKSTAR you!
Mid-30s to mid-40s was the healthiest decade of my life … at least I think it was: a long time ago. Enjoy it. It goes away. Happy Birthday, lady.
Congratulations, both sound like big accomplishments!
You freakin’ ROCK. Happiest of all years to you, love. xo
Thanks for the inspiration!
Happy birthday, and woohoo! for your running accomplishments!
Happy Birthday!
I’ll be 38 in half a year or so…but will have to live vicariously through you all…still healing from a 4 year-ago bike accident. Trucks are not my friends.
Happy birthday, and congratulations! You inspired me to do something about my knee pain, so I can get back to running too 🙂 thanks for the kick in the pants!
Happy Birthday!!!!!
Happy Birthday!
I’m just heading onto my own version of the couch to 5k myself. Got to get in shape before I hit 50 !
That is fantastic! And what a great way to look at exercise. I think I might have to copy cat you and get on the running wagon.
Awesome. So – next up, a marathon? 🙂
I started running again this January (I’m 35). It’s been pretty off and on, but I’m planning on running a 5k in October, pushing along a jogging sroller with the munchkins in tow.
Happy birthday. That’s impressive and a great gift-to-self. Hope your day’s been delightful.
Happy birthday – and well done!
Congrats! And happy birthday! What a wonderful accomplishment!
Congrats! That’s a great birthday present.
Happy belated birthday! Way to go!
I was just starting to think about giving running a shot and low and behold I got pregnant. A miracle baby! Maybe next year I will run? I can’t complain. It only too me four years to get here. Everything in its own time 🙂
Happy birthday and woot woot woot on the c25km. You are amazing.
Congrats! I’ve long wanted to try that program and I am so pleased that you have succeeded!
Way to go! I’ve been thinking of doing this for ages.
Hey, miss you! Are you ever coming back? (Oct. 4, 2011)
