FO!!! (Finished Monster!)
Here it is, folks!
Once it was all done, and the underarms grafted, I liked the fit a lot better. It’s pretty much what I had in mind when I planned it out.
I can wear the neck rolled down:
Or I can turn it up for a more Muppet-ish look.
I wanted this sweater to work with the way I wear sweaters. I like to pull the sleeves way down over my hands when I get cold, so I made the sleeves so that I can wear them over my hands like this or for those moments when I actually need my hands, I can roll them back like this.
Since it’s rather roomy on me, we found that it fits the boy perfectly. He also insisted that this photo needed to be taken. Isn’t he cute?
So there’s the Muppet monster sweater. It’s quirky. It’s not for everyone. But that’s just fine, cause it’s for me. And it’s mine, all mine! Woohoo!
It looks great! And it should fit you adn be just like you want. You deserve to have a favorite sweater.

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE Peece Fleece yarn, at least I think I remember you telling us that is what the salmon color was.

Hooray for FMFO! (fun muppet finished object) I LOVE it. And you (both) look so good in it. And just in time for cool weather, clever you. Makes me want to drop this shawl and start a sweater or three.

Viva la Muppet!! It’s awesome, Cari! I love the extra-long sleeves, I love how the top sleeve stripe lines up with the top body stripe, I love the neck in its Up position — the love just goes on and on for the Muppet Monster. It’s luscious! (p.s. Your Billy is way more willing to pose than mine is!)

don’t worry about the workshop. it is hard to get a good critique of a novel in the beginning stages, because the critter often has no idea where you plan to go with it. keep going!!! (advice from someone who needs to take her own advice). have you ever tried the NaNoWriMo?? thats a complete FIRST draft of a novel in 30 days. check it out at http://www.nanowrimo.org
love the sweater, especially the extra long sleeves. currently started one for my daughter that i hope will fit, but she likes the extra long sleeves as well, so i added an extra inch to the pattern, and it looks like that is good enough.
