It happens to the best of us, whether it’s our first novel or our twentieth: there comes a point when the whole thing just grinds to a halt. You stare at the blank page and the blank page stares back, or you dig in to a completed draft that needs revision and come up against a problem that feels insurmountable. The project that you began with such excitement and hope seems to be falling apart in your hands. It’s all a part of the process, and you will get through it if you put in the work. This three-week generative course, a combination of lectures, in-class exercises, and short at-home assignments, is designed to guide you through that work to get your novel draft moving again with a fresh charge of energy and a solid plan to carry you forward to the end.
