Gift progress
I’m making some headway on the two gift scarves I’ve got going.
The blue one is for my teacher, and the burgundy one is for Billy. In fact, that burgundy one is my very first knitting project ever. I started it a year ago and got so bored that I put it down. Last week the temperature dropped and I began to feel a bit bad that Billy was without a nice, warm scarf. So I’ve picked it up again and plan to finish it this week. The scarf for MC doesn’t need to be done until the holidays. It’s about half done now.
Whew…how’s that for fascinating prose? Yes, scarves are exciting. In the little knitting time I’m managing to grab these days, I’m also getting close to finishing the second Koigu sock.
Tomorrow I turn in a chunk o’ novel for workshop. My third and final time this semester. It’ll be workshopped next week. I’m nervous about it this time. I’m expecting a bloodbath.
Didn’t the second workshop go better than the first? Or was it the second workshop that you blogged about–when people didn’t get that novels are workshopped differently than short stories? I hope it goes better–otherwise, they’re all dumb.
I like the scarves–I really like the texture on the one for MC!
Golden Flash Smurf…I left a little comment on Brainy Lady’s tagboard for ya!

I LOVE the capelet/poncho! I much prefer the turtleneck to the low-cut ones I usually see.
I think it’s really cool that you have the animal rescue info up – my two rabbits are rescues and I can’t even bear to think that animals are bred specifically for $ when there are so many needing homes…

Hey, Grandmaster Flash Smurf! Don’t sweat the workshopping — you can take it. It won’t be worse than last time (I think it was last time), and maybe it will even be productive.

Oh, workshopping…. I’ll be thinking of you. Remember what workshops are really for: For making you work. That’s ’bout it. And you get some good idees, to boot. But it’s getting TO the workshop that’s the important part, babes. The good work’s already on the page. Proud of you.
