  172. Hi Thumper. Welcome to the World. We’ve all been waiting for you. You’re a beautiful child. I know you’re tired now. Being born is hard work. Scary too. You’re ok now though. You’re with people who love you and will take good care of you. You can rest and leave everything up to them.

    The World out here is a lot different from what you’re used to. All loud and bright and dry and everything. It’s got some cool stuff though, once you get used to it. Some of it is stuff you won’t appreciate until you get a little older, but you’ll really like some of the things you’ll get to see. Like frogs. And trees. And clouds. And chocolate cake. And I bet if you ask her, your mom will probably teach you how to knit. You’ll really like that. It’s a lot of fun.
