Intellectually, I knew this is what we were headed for…

…but now that the baby is here, it’s kind of scrambling my eggs. In a good way, mind you… but, still. Eggs, scrambled. I have two kids. TWO! Crazy! How lucky am I? Damn lucky.

They even like each other (so far).

  1. Wow! Just amazing! Almost 17 years later my two still like each other. 20 1/2 year old daughter and almost 17 year old son. All the best to you and yours. It’s a great ride!

  2. Isn’t having two wonderful??? They’re such beautiful kids, Cari. You are indeed very, very lucky, as are they.

  3. Look at how gorgeous they both are!! Congratulations to your whole family, Cari.

This is totally making me misty for the newborn stage. Such a short one!

  4. What’s her online nickname going to be? I sort of want to call her Bunny until you come up with one. They are adorable together and look at her wee toes!!

  5. The sweetness! Hopefully, they will always like one another. They’ll have their moments, I’m sure, but not for a while. I love that outfit. Great design!

  6. Pictures!! 🙂 They look great .. and silly me, I thought the Tree Hugger outfit was for next fall !

She’s gorgeous … Congrats to you and DH & Thumper. (more silly me, I want to call her Pumpkin … )

  7. Thumper has such a cute chin; and the baby’s cute, too! Add me to the list of curious commenters who wonder what her blog name will be?

  8. Oh my, look at those little sweet kids. Although next to her Thumper does not look so little!

I really just can’t tell you how happy I am that she is here and healthy and that you guys are doing fine. 🙂

  9. Cari, she’s so gorgeous! And it’s so great that Thumper seens really into having a baby sister!

I too want to know what Baby Girl’s interwebs moniker will be.

All the best, always. xo, Jessie

  10. I remember Mark and I feeling the same when Casey was born. What an amazing feeling!
Lots of love to you 4.

  11. HOORAY! They are both beautiful. The tree hugger outfit looks infinitely cuter with your darling little dumpling snuggled up inside of it. I’m so glad it fits her — most of the baby stuff I made for Lars was either too small or too big, or wrong season by the time he grew into it, so I didn’t even try to make baby clothes for Anders. Quilts ALWAYS fit! 🙂 Congratulations!

  12. You ARE lucky!!! It’s a miracle every time a baby is born and you have 2 of them. All the very best to you all and thanks for letting us be a part of this story. I enjoy it very much

  13. Holy cow!!! Look at the beautiful kids. I can’t belive how much your son has grown. And your wee little girl is too cute in her new knits. Thanks for sharing 🙂

  14. Even though I already commented, I’m back to stare at the beauties again. And I have to add that I particularly love the solo pic of Baby Girl in which she is doing Pilates! It wasn’t until I started doing Pilates and then watched my nephew evolve through infancy that I realized that life for newborns is Pilates every day. Plus look at her hands and her toes and her little mouth! So adorable.

Take a break from drinking your yummy milk and get some more pictures up! (Please. Thank you.)

    xo, Jessie
