It’s not tank-itis
Really it isn’t. I was going to make a tank for my brother’s fiancee for her birthday anyway. I swear! The ChicKami is so cute, though, and perfect for Amey, so I’ve signed on for the Knitalong. I was planning to make her the same tank I’m currently making for myself (Cotton-Ease and a pattern I cobbled together from several other tank patterns) but this little number suits her better than the v-neck I’m making for me. I’ll still use the Cotton-Ease I bought for hers though. She gets Cherry Red.
Her birthday is the same as mine–same day, month, year. (We have so much in common it’s scary and end up bickering from time to time as a result. It sucks to see your own worst traits reflected in other people.) So maybe I’ll make a ChicKami for myself too to celebrate our joint thirtieth (eek! Thirty!).
I’ve finished the gallery page. Please forgive the circa 1997 html skills.
Cari, we also knit the same hat first! I used that Rebecca pattern too. Your eggplant is way cute, though. And now the ChicKami! Looks like we’ll be getting tanked together too. Yeehaw!

Cari, you employ a very talented model for your finished projects! What’s his/her name?

Ah, yes. We don’t hide our skeletons in the closet around here. We let them hang out in the living room!
My boyfriend is a physical therapist, and uses the skeleton for practice and studying techniques, etc. I bought it for his birthday last year and told him then he’d have to name it. Almost a year later and the poor thing still has no name!

Hey Alison,
Should we start a running list of similarities, just to creep ourselves out? I have four tattoos to your five, got the first at 18, not 16…maybe instead of making my own “about me” I could do a “How I am Similar to or Differ From Brainylady.” Whaddya think? ;P

Hey, I was just stopping by to see how Sadie’s doing? How long does she have to wear the tulip costume?
And when is the big 3-0 birthday, says she, rushing to the kitchen to bake something delicious….?

PS: I vote you name the skeleton Agent Scully.

Ok, so we have a write-in vote of Agent Scully for the skeleton’s name. Anyone else out there care to weigh in?
Sadie’s doing pretty well now, thanks. We had a scare the night before last though. Her foot swelled to double the size because the bandage had tightened or was too tight to begin with. A midnight run to the vet and the bandage was cut off and she’s almost back to normal now. Thanks for asking!
And don’t drag out that cupcake pan just yet! The big day isn’t until August 20th. Gulp. My twenties were great. I can do thirties. No problem.

I love your gallery page! Not 1997 at all; I call it “The Clean Look” 🙂
Name the skeleton “Smiley”. I don’t know…it just seems that he’s (or she’s?) grinning for the camera. Which would seem logical considering the neat-o knitted garment he’s modeling.
Lastly, thanks a LOT for giving me the urge to knit that tank now. Like I need any more! But I do have the yarn for it…

Cari, I think we have already crossed into creepy territory. Do you have brown hair and brown eyes? Aaaah! I knew it! Oh, and I nominate Boney M. for your model’s name. (Talk about creepy, by the way!) 🙂
