Madly, deeply, truly in love…
These mittens! Have you seen these mittens?!
Technically my desire to own these mittens is a want, not a need. But at the moment, it really feels like I NEED these mittens.
Sigh.
Thinking of them in two shades of nearly solid koigu*…
Mmmmmmm….
*I just noticed that I no longer automatically capitalize koigu. I mean, Koigu. It’s as if it were no longer a proper noun to me. No, it’s not just a brand of yarn. It’s something basic, essential. Like, I wouldn’t capitalize “air” or “bread” or “chocolate”… Mmmmm…bread and chocolate…. And koigu…
I adore those mittens. It was love at first sight. But I’m putting off buying the pattern until I find the yarn I want to use. Otherwise the pattern will probably just languish in a pile.

mmm…such a good mix, chocolate, bread & Koigu ;D

I too am in love with those mittens. I don’t even wear mittens; but those mittens, I want and would wear. They are lovely. And yes, those mittens out of Koigu? Ah…

Yup, love those mittens. Those are on the list.

Yes they are gorgeous mittens. Maybe after the holiday knitting. And koigu– my 6 year old nephew loves to wind yarn for me on the ball winder and skein. On his last visit he said, a tiny bit put out, “Don’t you have any more Koigu?”

Eunny is just amazing, isn’t she? i am in awe.

Obviously I have seen those mittens! Knitting them right now, so pretty! I really want to see them in loads of different colors on the net. Please do knit them, too :).

I just bought Koigu to make the mittens… in nearly solid pink and nearly solid chocolate brown.

Oh, gawd yes – I think it’s the only stand-alone Fair Isle pattern I’ve ever bought (nearly didn’t capitalize “Fair Isle” there – but it’s intimidating enough for me that not only is it not like bread or air, it probably should be spelled out as FAIR ISLE).
I couldn’t help myself, though. William Morris-y mittens? I’m weak.

Actually, you probably NEED to finish some of those lovely half-finished projects. WANT is quite a different story, eh?

Yes, I’m planning on proposing marriage to Eunny. Every design makes me salivate. She is utterly amazing. I currently have a crush on her Venezia Pullover from the Winter IK and I’m working on how to adapt a knee-high Bayerische.

Oh, yes. I understand the craving. I’m trying to be good and hold off until after the holidays.

I knew it! I knew before I ever clicked the link what “these mittens” would be. Aren’t they gorgeous? I’ve been drooling over them. I’m going to knit them, too, but they have to wait until all the Christmas knitting is done.

Know what? I have some koigu in Cari colors sitting around…

Those mittens are gorgeous! Thank you for pointing them out.

Why did you do this to me? No I *need* them, too. Darn enablers! You’re everywhere on the net.
And, yes, the chocolate/bread combo is delicious. Didn’t know that one till I met my husband. Here in France, they just take a bar of chocolate and stick it in a baguette that they’ve sliced open and call it breakfast (not everyone everday, but it passes as breakfast – can you believe that?). In Belgium, they sell an extra thin chocolate bar whose sole purpose is to be put on bread for breakfast. Got to love a nation that would make chocolate part of a balanced breakfast.
