My reactions exactly! What yarns are you thinking of using? (those possibilities you referred to) The one reference to the selkirk i found mentioned itchiness and i’m looking for a good substitute that would work for for inbetween weather [i.e. fall/winter in the south].

What’s happened here? Someone knits Thumper a sweater and suddenly you’re not worried that the fastest growing baby in the world is going to be cold come January? Its all about you now, isn’t it?
