Unpacking

Okay, so this has been a bit of a soft launch for the new blog. Obviously there’s still a lot to do to get this new blog location up to speed. I’ve got to move the patterns over. Have to add the links. Have to hunker down and write a real post. This weekend, most likely, I’ll get all that done.

In the meantime, I’m getting a lot of messages on Ravelry, asking where the Baby Yoda pattern went. It will be posted here soon (actually, a link to it will be posted soon, as I’m moving it to Ravelry as a free pdf). If you need the pattern immediately, you can download it from here. I didn’t think it would be a problem to have the patterns down for a week or so, but apparently there have been some Yoda-related emergencies. Babies due and the gift not started and all that. So there you have it. An unexpected benefit from agreeing to let Shokay use the pattern.

So, my dears, have a terrific long weekend if you’re in the States, and a terrific regular weekend if you’re someplace that isn’t observing Memorial Day this Monday. And I hope to have this blog up to speed before the weekend is over. And please, move your RSS subscriptions over from Dogs Steal Yarn! Going from 1130 subscribers to 28 subscribers on Bloglines is giving me a complex.

Nothing has come over the DSY rss feed since you switched, so those 1130 subscribers might not know you’ve launched yet. I went right to the DSY url on a hunch, and found the redirect.

    (P.S.—the new blog looks good!)

Yay! Love the new name – and of course the header is one of my all time favorite photos!

I wonder what an appropriate ‘Blog Warming’ gift would be? XOXOXOX

  7. What a seamless move to wordpress. You must have paid your ‘blog mover’ well!
What a suprise that you have been a blogger since 2003!
    Enjoy wordpress.

I didn’t know the switch was official, and just took a peek to see what was up. I suspect that no one knows yet. I’m so addicted to my blog reader, I don’t think to independantly check urls.

    Congratulations and all that.

Whew! I’m glad I found you. I neglected to add the new address to my favorites when I was redirected from DSY and I haven’t been redirected since (and my memory of the new name was vague.) But, now I’m here –yay! Happy unpacking!

I’ve only just discovered your blog while stumbling around for the Baby Yoda Sweater. Having finished about a year’s worth of blog entries and looking at the clock, it is now 3 AM!! All I can say is you must have “something” in the wordcraft department to keep me mesmirized for the last two to three (very late in the night)hours! Definitely putting you on my favorites list so I can keep track of your piece of Utopia (is that stalking?!)

    Cheers, Barbie O.

  21. I had to google previous dogsstealyarn to find you as the frowarding from your old page doesn’t work, but have now updated my blogroll.
    The new template looks great!

I love the new header, and the new name does seem more fitting! So will your patterns no longer be on this site at all? I’m not a Ravelry member, so I can’t look at anything there.

Found you! The redirect wasn’t working for me so had to do some creative googling. Whew! Feeling so much better now…
