What the well-socked foot is wearing
A gift of baby booties from Carolyn
And yet another pair of socks that I knit for myself when I probably should have been knitting for the baby.
Pattern: Child’s First Sock from Knitting Vintage Socks
Yarn: Lorna’s Laces Cranberry
How cute….and a mirrored effect, even. You’d be set if you were having triplets.

Doesn’t it just blow your mind that there are human feet that can actually fit into those sweet little booties? they’re SO CUTE! nice job on those nancy bush socks. As to baby knitting, something tells me that once Thumper arrives, you won’t be doing much of anything for yourself (at least not in the beginning), so enjoy those Nancy Bush socks! xxx

Okay, the socks are just too, too good. I am making my first pair of just basic socks and I am practically having some kind of hysterical fit over them. These are beyond gorgeous. I have huge sock envy.

Great minds think alike… I made those exact socks with that exact yarn and color for my Sockapaloooza pal. 😀 Good job!

You there? Hello? There is *nothing* wrong with knitting for yourself. You’ll be doing plenty for the little guy when he gets here. Treat yourself now.

Those are some pretty awesome socks. I recently knit some Pomatomus, and I really like the less holey-ness of these.

Kelp’s recently knit Pom socks were for ME! Yay me! They’re awesome – thank goodness I don’t have to knit any now. hehe
Those are so pretty Cari – the Cranberry is a great color and the pattern is so pretty. I love all NB patterns it seems.

how did you make the booties look so big was actually going to be my question. 🙂

The baby booties are so cute!
And I just finished that exact same Child’s First Sock pattern for myself last night using STR! I love it! The pattern and the socks in both STR and LL Cranberry. Very nice!

Oooo. Those socks are NICE. Lovely marriage of color and texture.

Both pairs look fantastic! Enjoy them.

You won’t have much time for knitting once the baby comes so, you may as well knit as many lovelies for your own feet as you can.

Lovely new socks. You are going to have very well dressed feet come this fall.

“Should have been knitting for the baby”???
Should have? You’re giving it LIFE.
I think that’s enough.

Baby booties are so impossibly adorable, I always want to eat them like candy.
The Cranberry socks look lovely, too!

Stephanie is funny.
Fun booties, and lovely socks for yourself!

Nice job on the socks. I’m starting the toes of the first sock on these and LOVE this pattern. I’m using Lorna’s Laces – Ravenswood and love the feel and look of these.
