Yum! Cake! When my son was little we weren’t “allowed” to sing happy birthday. It made him very angry and he’d cry. But, you can’t have cake without the song (just wouldn’t be right), so we’d just speak it. Haven’t thought about that in years! We must have looked like crazy people.

He’s just the cutest thing and I’m sure your mom loves that picture of him listening to her so intently!! BTW – per the United Nations – that sugar high doesn’t really exist (he’s just high on life) BUT it can improve the memory of us older humans!! hahaha!

I want to reach through the screen and give him a squeeze. i adore my two year old (and three months) and hope/assume that you are loving it, too. every day is amazing. new joys. new laughs. new challenges (and how!). too bad, if we lived in the same town i’d invite y’all for a playdate. i really enjoy your blog, and i’m not really a very blogging type.
