    Onward, absolutely.

Love, love, love the photos of Thumper and his cake – especially the last one! There are few things cuter than a toddler on a sugar high (and few things less appealing than a toddler on a sugar crash – oh well!)

Nothin’ better than a sweet toddler face smeared with chocolate birthday cake frosting. Happy (belated) B-day Thumper!

What cute birthday pictures! Thumper’s little cake smeared face is happymaking. ๐Ÿ™‚ And having his Gramma sing him ‘the cake song’ is a great thing to have captured.

I love the “contemplating the meaning of cake” photo. I wonder what his conclusions were.

“Contemplating the meaning of cake” is one of the funniest photo-caption combinations I’ve seen in a while.

    Thumper, the cake philosopher.

Those are great birthday pictures! I love the captions! What IS the meaning of cake? Since adulthood I’ve thought it to mean bigger hips and thighs. LOL

Some of my most memorable pictures of my daughter (now 16) are the food-smeared faces – spaghetti in one, and sour cream in another. Very cute Thumper!

Yum! Cake! When my son was little we weren’t “allowed” to sing happy birthday. It made him very angry and he’d cry. But, you can’t have cake without the song (just wouldn’t be right), so we’d just speak it. Haven’t thought about that in years! We must have looked like crazy people.

OMG! He is so cute and a very happy belated birthday to Thumper!

I’m seriously heading down to Portland this summer (bf’s family is down there) and we are so meeting up somewhere downtown. Yep it is happening. I am really enjoying you and your family’s adventure in embracing Portland and the rainy NW.

    Oh, lol. You’re drunk!
I have a young friend; at Thumper’s age he would climb up onto the table, blinking his beautiful eyelashes at you as he cooed, “Mmmmmmm, TAKE”.

I was just thinking that I hadn’t read a post from you in a very long time and went to see that DSY was missing from my bloglines! I’m glad that I found you again. Seems like the interim period I missed treated you well. Yeah for happy families and healthy gardens.
